Exotic Grilled Alaskan Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh Alaska Salmon fillets, thawed if necessary
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

For additional flavor, blend in any one of the following, if desired:

  • ¼ tsp coarse or Dijon-style mustard
  • ¼ tsp finely minced shallots or onions
  • ¼ tsp dried ginger
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Directions

Arrange salmon in a single layer on the baking pan. Brush with lemon juice. In a small bowl, blend brown sugar and soy sauce brush evenly over the fillets. Broil or place each salmon portion onto the grill for 10 minutes per inch of thickness, about 5-6 inches from heat. Brush with remaining sauce.
